ALAN KILMAN SALES has been in business for over 25 years purchasing/selling closeouts and customer returns merchandise.  As one of the largest independent liquidation specialists in the nation, we can handle just about any transaction, with most ranging from $200,000 to $30+ million at original retail.  


Our clients, such as department stores, chain-stores, manufacturers, mass-merchandisers, catalogs, television shopping networks, and e-retailers, receive:

Who is Alan?

Alan Kilman began his career in 1971, as one of the first buyers for the Syms Corporation.   Throughout his time at Syms, Alan moved up the ranks from salesperson to buyer - up through the VP positions in the Lady and Men's categories, as well as founding/establishing Syms' successful domestics and children's departments.

After Syms, Alan went on to become SVP, GMM for a regional department store in West Virginia where he was responsible for all of the day-to-day operation, and merchandising, across all company categories (hard and soft lines).


Alan was then recruited by Opportunities Plus, Inc., at the time one of the largest, independent liquidation firms in the country. He quickly became a partner, and worked with just about every off-price retailer, department store and catalog in the country.  It was during this time that Alan became a pioneer in the liquidation of store-stock inventories.


In 1999, ALAN KILMAN SALES, Inc. was established.  Year after year, Alan has continued to grow and expand his business.  Moving beyond clothing and shoes, the company now has the capability, the ware-with-all, customer-base and knowledge to handle just about any item for which there is a consumer market.  Often you will hear Alan stating "that we will buy/sell anything from Motor Oil to Mink Coats...as long as we don't have to feed it, we will buy it."
